NUTCRACKER has not escaped the current craze for modernization. However in its original form it shows no sign of losing its hold as the No. 1 Christmas ballet.

*The Williamsport Ballet Guild proudly presents the Williamsport Civic Ballet Company in its 47th annual production of The Nutcracker. The guest dancers for the act two pas de deux will be Katherine Williams and Jose Sebastian. Both dancers are members of American Ballet Theatre.

Start off the holiday season with the angelic voices of The Vienna Boys Choir. The Vienna Boys Choir is one of the oldest boys' choirs existing in the world. For nearly five hundred years they have been a symbol of Austria. Founded by Emperor Maximilian I in 1498, the choir performs everything from medieval to contemporary and experimental music. One hundred choristers, aged 10 to 14, tour as four separate choirs and give 300 concerts and performances each year.

The Front Porch Country Band, Williamsport’s own ambassadors of Original American Country music, captures all of the emotions and spirit of the Christmas season with their world premier tour, “Once Upon A Christmas.” Created right here in the heart of the Susquehanna Valley, this new production features a creative avalanche of 19 original songs.

Audiences will be moved by this fresh array of songs expressing unabashed reverence for the highest meaning in Christmas, along with a childlike wonder for the magic of the season and an extra touch of playful irreverence thrown in - just for fun.

Just in time for the holidays, a show for all ages!

With traditional music and masterful Irish dancing, Eileen Ivers "An Nollaig – An Irish Christmas" will bring beautiful Irish holiday customs to life. In a very Gaelic celebration, including original tunes and holiday favorites like "The Holly Tree," "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "The Wexford Carol," "Do You Hear What I Hear" and many others, Ivers and friends evoke the anticipatory delight of Christmas Eve, the peace of Christmas morning and even the raucous exuberance of Boxing Day, complete with fiddles, pipes and whistles.

Legendary fiddler Eileen Ivers, star of Riverdance and founding member of Cherish the Ladies, will deliver a delirious mix of traditional and original Irish airs, jigs, reels, grooves, songs and stories this holiday season.
