Event Description
Darius Rucker, long-time front man for legendary rock band Hootie & the Blowfish released his debut country album Learn to Live in September 2008, rocketing him onto the scene with the critically acclaimed single "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" and establishing him as an exciting new fixture in the most popular musical genre in America.
His first two singles, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" and "It Won't Be Like This For Long" both hit No. 1 on the country charts, making him the first African-American artist since Charley Pride in 1983 to reach that spot.
“Alright,” the third release from Learn To Live, helped push the album to platinum status and has made Darius the first artist in nearly 17 years to top the Billboard Country Chart with three consecutive #1 singles. His performance at the CAC will include a set of Hootie & the Blowfish songs such as “Only Wanna Be With You”.
